It's brilliant. You've captured, the stress, tension, fear, anticipation and the style used conveys this so well. Jangling nerves, everything on edge and the plashes of paint on cheeks are economical and very powerful, the violet colour adding to the electric atmosphere of waiting for something that may not be good news.
