... a very good and lovely painting...great work on the shadows and proportions, not easy at all- especially with water colors...so 
It is very beautiful, of course...they are together...but, for my eyes,...they are not.the woman tries to have a tender connection towards him, putting her arm on his knee,and on her own one...so...a "tender togetherness" she is "tempting".But the man , according to me, doesn't share the same emotion.I can't feel any "passion"coming from him.(but , maybe, he is shy, lol)I see it more "like he would show "a trophy"...
But those are my observations, my point of view.
Maybe, Your's is totally different.
However...it is- a great painting, without any doubt!
