Is it a painting? If so, I would like to buy a physical copy?

A very depressing title... When you paint a unic person, in the right middle of an empty room, I'm sure that the ambiance isn't joyful!Even the symetry adds to the sadness!
I hope that you are OK, Dirk?

Is that so? Never really thought about it? I'm a bit obsessed by the image of a person in an empty room..

Yes, Im really fine. Has been terribly busy last weeks.. Hope to get some rest next weeks.. Anyway, spring has really arrived here last days.. Time to be more outside, to go biking, enjoy the sun, and so on..
And how are you, Claire?

Not at the top, but not so bad....I enjoy all the greens of the Aquitaine in spring: no need to pay for. And all the iris ( irises?) are in blossom in the garden. The best moment of the year for me! Enjoy your rest next weeks, if possible!

How curious this is! A long time ago, 8 years or so, I had the idea of this same setting, a girl in an empty room facing the window, but in my case the girl would have been nude and not in this perspective. But I never got to chance to do it nor painted it nor drew it, because this girl I knew moved out of the apartment I was planning to use for the artwork and then the idea just slipped off my head.

we have so many ideas and some of them fade out before getting realised

By the way, since I've read in your profile that you're a psychologist I wonder if you apply consciously your knowledge of the the human mind when working on your paintings, I mean when building the composition and choosing its elements. Because I'm very interested in depth psychology, the jungian school.

No, I don't
I work very intuitively..
But I'm a fan of depth psychology (psychoanalysis) too
And my work is very emotional; I oftgen try to express all kind of desires and anxyties...
Nice to meet you, Manual :handshake:

Ah ok. I got into depth psychology because I was curious of the subjects I was painting. Once I met a psychology student and she sort of analyzed a couple of surreal drawings of mine and it kept me thinking, like there was some kind of truth in what she said and I found that very interesting. Then I was working intuitively but now I do some research at the same time when I work on on new compositions.
By the way it's nice to meet you too Dirk.
